Notice for lecture of Professor Daniel Chen from Texas Christian University

    Funded by the International Cooperation Department of HIT and invited by Professor Shao Jingbo of School of Management, Professor Daniel Chen, from Texas Christian University, will visit HIT and give public lectures from May 30th to June 5th. The topic, time and location of the lectures are scheduled as the following. Welcome teachers and students of the SoM to the lectures.

Introduction of Professor Daniel Chen:
     Dr. Daniel Q. Chen is a tenured faculty member of the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University, U.S.A. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and also holds an M.B.A degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Chen has combined years of industrial experiences in entrepreneurship, supply chain management, and management consulting in U.S.A. and China before entering the academic field.
    Dr. Chen’s research interests lie across the areas of Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management, and Technology Management, including the topics of strategic impacts of organizational resources, supply chain integration, organizational impact of IT investments, the role and value of IS leadership especially at the CIO level. Dr. Chen’s research has appeared or is forthcoming in numerous premier management journals such as Decision Sciences Journal, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, MIS Quarterly Executive, among others.
