Position Title: Area Sales Manager
Reports To: Manager Sales & Marketing
Location: Harbin
MAJOR DUTIES:
• Promote the sales of finance lease products through dealer calls, attendance at field days, dealer open house, trade shows and presentation of information and education sessions to dealers and customers. Actively creates sales ideas and programs for dealer use.
• Collaborates with regional sales managers, dealers, end users to capture the finance lease product needs for agricultural and construction equipments and utilizes John Deere Credit (JDC) product tools, payment calculators, and product pricing models.
• Participates in the development and coordination of sales projects as assigned by the sales management. Communicates appropriate feedback relative to the progress on assigned projects.
• Develop business relationship with dealers / customers and supports the finance lease application and revolving credit limit review process, through on- farm visits collecting application support information.
• Prepares materials for and presents dealer training on the use and selling of John Deere finance lease products, tools and programs.
• Obtains and reports on the assigned area-wide general industry information and conditions / pricing, market activity and seasonal conditions for agricultural and construction equipment industry. Collects and reports information on competitive activity including interest rates marketing programs, target markets etc.
• Various other duties as required.
Technical Skills & Knowledge: Specialised skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Knowledge of dealers/merchants/alliance partners, finance programs and products. (Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.)
• Successful negotiating and selling skills. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
• Knowledge of dealers and other channels. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
• Knowledge of industry appropriate for area of responsibility (markets, products, competitors, customers, distribution trends). (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
• Understanding of credit products or services and policies. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• It is highly preferred for the experience of area sales for Finance Lease company (like finance lease company in the industry of construction equipments) or Auto Finance company or bank.
Education: MBA Degree or Master Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience.
Relevant work experiences: 1-3 years experience working in the finance industry, or a position with dealer and field sales and/or product support experience.
