Hitachi Group’s visiting and communications with School of Management of HIT

In recent days, Mr. Hiroshi Nakayama, the executive director and secretary general of Keizai Koho Center (KKC) visited the School of Management of HIT with other 4 companions at the invitation of Professor Yu Bo, dean of school of management of HIT. The purpose of Mr. Hiroshi Nakayama’s visit is to discuss about the visiting issues of Mr. Takashi Kawamura, vice chairman of Japan Business Federation, vice chairman of KKC, the president of Hitachi Group who will visit HIT at the last ten days of June, 2013. Professor Yu made an introduction of the related situations of the development of school of management of HIT to the Japanese guests and emphasized that the institute is always attaching great importance to the cooperation with the circle of domestic and international economical enterprises. He hoped that the visit of Mr. Takashi Kawamura would improve the communications and contacts between School of management and the world's top 500 enterprises. Professor Liang Dapeng, the vice dean of the SoM and Professor Zhu Bin, the director of EMBA education center also attended the visiting.

The Hitachi Group is the world's largest multinational corporations and also one of Japan's largest integrated electrical, electronic products company, headquartered in Tokyo. Its business scope is from ordinary consumer products to social infrastructure. The involving areas include electrical equipment, industrial machinery, control systems, electronic information, digital appliances, display components, logistics and financial services. Hitachi has total 914 companies in the world and employs about 360,000 people. It was ranked 38th of Global top 500 enterprises in the Magazine ‘Fortune’ in 2012. Since 2011, Mr. Takashi Kawamura was appointed president of the Board of Hitachi. He shoulders the burden to renaissance of powerful Hitachi .He introduced the system of corporation in Hitachi and led Hitachi to establish a new competitive advantage and try to improve profitability and bid farewell to the last four years’ consecutive losses. So it is widely thought that Mr. Takashi Kawamura save the Hitachi Group.
