At the invitation of School of Management, Professor Wende Yu from Taiwan Chung Hua University paid a visit to our school for further cooperation on April 9th. Professor Yu gave three academic lectures, namely “Infrastructure Construction and Operation based on Green Building Concept ---- Taking Taiwan as a case study” and “Engineering Technology Innovation Mode with the function of Self-evolution” held in the Meeting Room 216 on April 10th and “the Latest Development of Building Information Modeling (BIM)” in the Meeting Room 409 on April 11th. The lectures, presided over by Chengshuang Sun, the Director of Building and Real Estate Department, were warmly welcome by the teachers and the students.
Professor Wende Yu, got the PhD degree at Purdue University, USA in 1996. And he works as professor at the Department of Construction Management at Chung Hua University, Taiwan, at the Faculty of Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and the visiting professor at Southeast University. Yu had his research mainly at project management, knowledge management, computer-aided innovation and building information modeling (BIM).
In his three lectures, Professor Yu introduced the relevant theories concerning green building, ecological engineering, engineering technology innovation and building information modeling. Besides, Yu combined the theories with the practice and made an analysis of the latest progress and the future development of the architecture applied in new technology research and application. After the lecture, Professor Yu also patiently answered the questions raised by the teachers and the students. |
