The Department of Management Science and Engineering at the School of Management (SOM) in Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor and Chair Professor in Information Systems and Operations Management. The annual salary for Assistant Professor position is roughly 300,000–500,000 RMB, depending on the appointee’s qualification and experience. Salary for the other positions is open and competitive and will be negotiated on a case to case basis depend upon qualifications.

•Have a strong commitment to high-quality research as evidenced by top-tier journal publications (or progress toward it), e.g., MS, ISR, MISQ, OR, JOM, and POM et al.

• Have a record of outstanding research and have the indication of the ability to continue publishing in top-tier journals
• Have a rich teaching expertise, with successful teaching outputs
Excellent graduates from top universities may also compete for this position
Positions of Professors/Chair Professors should
• Demonstrate excellence in research and research leadership
• Have the indication of the ability to continue publishing in top-tier journals
• Have significant service contributions, e.g., editorial board memberships, conference chairs, etc
• Have a rich expertise in teaching, with proven successful teaching outputs
