On Sept. 16, 2012, a report was given by Professor Xu Shijun, from Yuan Ze University in Taiwan in HIT Park 2H building. Professor Yu Bo, dean of the School of Management, HIT, Professor Zhu Bin, the director of EMBA education center and EMBA students, graduate students, full-time graduate students, in total more than 150 people attended the report.
The theme of the report is ‘the innovation thinking and strategy to develop service industry – all the enterprises belong to the service industry finally’. He pointed out that the service industry is not an industry classification, but a kind of management mode. The only purpose of the enterprise is to create customer, the service industry is a kind of demand oriented management mode. Finally, He pointed out the development opportunity of service industry in mainland china.
After the report, the students asked questions, and Professor Xu gave the enthusiastic answers one by one. This report gave our teachers and students a more further understanding about service industry, and learn more of the essence of Professor Xu.
The brief introduction of Professor Xu Shijun:
Ph.D of the University of Michigan, master of business administration at the University of Michigan, master of law in Taiwan politics university political institute .Currently he is the professor of Far Eastern management in Yuan Ze University. In 1989 professor Xu ShiJun won the highest honor in Taiwan management scholars of management medal, of whom for Taiwan management scholars. His organisational Positions includs Chairman of the board, Bank of Kaohsiung;Editor-in-chief of Journal of Management Science ; Adviser, TAITRA Trade Talent Training Centre; Standing supervisor, China Asia-Pacific Economic and Management Society; Director of China National Petroleum Corporation; Member of the Standing Committee, Council of Academic Reviewal and Evaluation, Ministry of Education, ect. He had published more than 16 monographs, such as "Towards the 21st Century Management", "Management Dictionary"ect.
