0n June 29th, Professor Haim Levy, a famous financial expert from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, was chosen as our chief international academic advisor. The Vice President of HIT Professor Sun Heyi presented the certificate to Professor Levi. Professor Yu Bo, the Dean of the School of Management introduced Professor Levy. Professor Liang Dapeng, Associate Dean of the School of Management, chaired the appointment ceremony.
Vice President Sun Heyi, during his speech, welcomed Professor Levi as our chief international academic adviser, introduced the current status and future goals of HIT, and wished that Professor Levy will help in promoting the development of HIT’s management disciplines. Professor Levy relied that it was his honor to be HIT chief international academic adviser and that he would make great contribution to the construction and development of HIT’s management science and engineering disciplines.
Professor Levy has been a visiting professor of the University of Pennsylvania and University of California at Berkeley. He has made outstanding academic contributions in economics, finance and management science, the most prominent of which is proposing the investment stochastic dominance theory. This theory promotes the further development of the asset pricing and portfolio theory in investment. He was also named as one of the most famous scholars in the finance field.
