On March 2, 2012, the founding ceremony of the HIT- Seeyon Software “Collaborative Management Research Center” was held in the International Conference Center of HIT. The center is the base for the field trip and practicum for the HIT School of Management students. It is the first Collaborative Management Research Center that the Beijing Seeyon Software Co., LTD, a provider of the OA office system maintaining the highest market share rate in China six year on end, built with an institution of higher learning in China.
Present at the ceremony were Professor YU Bo, Dean of the HIT School of Management, Dr. LIU Guquan, Acting Director of the “Collaborative Management Research Center” and Associate Director General of the Beijing Seeyon Software Co., Ltd., Professor YAN Xiangbin, Chair of the HIT Department of Management Science and Engineering, Professor FENG Yuqiang and Associate Professor MA Weizhong from the HIT School of Management, and representatives from the Harbin Seeyon Software Co., Ltd., and the representative of the Seeyon clients, Heilongjiang Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperative. More than 50 undergraduate and graduate students from the HIT School of Management attended the ceremony.
Professor YAN Xiangbin, Chair of the HIT Department of Management Science and Engineering, presided over the ceremony. Dean YU Bo congratulated on the “Collaborative Research Center” on behalf of the HIT School of Economics and Management, hoping that the professors and students from the HIT School of Economics and Management could make full use of the “Collaborative Research Center” to strength academic communication and enrich social practice.
After the ceremony, Dr. LIU Guquan, Associate Director General of the Beijing Seeyon Software Co., Ltd. gave a lecture titled “Improving Effectiveness of Management with Collaboration”, and answered the questions that the HIT professors and students raised. After the lecture, Dr. LIU Guquan, on behalf of the Beijing Seeyon Software Co. Ltd. presented the Seeyon Collaborative Innovation and Management Teaching Software to the HIT School of Economics and Management.
