HIT Ranked the Fifth in “The Fifth National MBA Business Case Competition”
On December 20th 2009, with the instruction of Prof. LI Dong (instructor), ZHANG Qiwei, an HIT 08 MBA student (captain), together with ZHAO Yu, LIU Shi, GUO Yu formed a team (HIT Shenzhou, the sole representative of Northeast China) to represent HIT in an MBA Case Competition. It was the first attempt in the National Finals and they won the fifth place.
After two rounds of intense competition, finally the top five teams are the team from Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiaotong University, the team representing the School of Economics and Management in Tsinghua University, the team of Guanghua School of Management in Peking University, the team of China Europe International School of Business and Management, and the team of Harbin Institute of Technology.
The MBA Case Competition National Finals was held at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. Ten teams from the various MBA Education colleges across the country competed in the final. These teams were from the China Europe International Business School of Management, Lingnan School of Business, School of Management of Taiwan's National Chengchi University, Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Business School of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, School of Management of Harbin Institute of Technology, School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, and Guanghua School of Management of Peking University.
This event began in 2005. The 2009 (fifth) MBA Enterprise Case Competition was organized by the MBA Education Center of Tsinghua University and Management Scientist magazine, cooperated with Tsinghua MBA Alumni Association Kingdee International Software Co., Ltd., and Tsinghua University Chinese Business Administration Case Center offered academic instruction. The event, by using highly real business cases, is designed to train the ability of future business leaders to use management knowledge and to grasp the commercial realities, the decision-making and analytical skills when facing challenges. It also offered the platform to strengthen exchange and communication among business schools of the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and to promote the level of business education in China.
