On the morning of March 2nd 2012, in the conference room of 2H Building, School of Management signed a Framework Agreement of Cooperation with the School of Economy of Universidad de Buenos Aires. Prof. YU Bo, Dean of School of Management, Prof. JU Xiaofeng the Secretary of the CPC Committee, Prof. LIANG Dapeng, Associate Dean of the School, and Prof. MI Jianing, Director of Public Management Department attended the signing ceremony on behalf of the School of Management. Associate Dean of School of Economy, Prof. Lius van Morlegan signed on behalf of Universidad de Buenos Aires. This cooperation marked a breakthrough in the international communication for the HIT School of Management.
The university (Universidad de Buenos Aires), founded in 1821, is the largest comprehensive university in Argentina, with five Nobel Prize winners. It is one of the best in Argentina as well as in South America. The university witnessed the emergence of a number of national leaders. The School of Economy in the university was founded in 1912, the biggest and the most important school among the 13 schools of the university. The school has an enrolment of 70, 000 undergraduates and graduates. It features first-class faculty and teaching facilities. It is becoming the institution with the most advanced economic thoughts and research ideas in Argentina.
The Framework Agreement aims to promote institutional development, improve teaching standards, and push forward the research on science, technology and social culture through academic exchange and cooperation. Both parties had expressed positive attitudes toward the agreement. At the same time, Prof. Lius van Morlegan extended sincere invitation to the leaders of HIT to participate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the university in 2013. After signing the agreement, both sides exchanged gifts. The signing was carried out in a friendly atmosphere.
