On the morning of October 27, 2011, the opening ceremony of HIT EMBA Grade 2011 Class 2 (Daqing Class) was held in Daqing. Professor Sun Heyi，the Vice-Chancellor of HIT, Tian Liying，member of Daqing Municipal Committee and vice president of Daqing Municipal Party School, Han Bing，member of Daqing Municipal Committee and minister of Ministry of the Organization, Professor Zhen Liang, the executive vice dean of the Graduate School of HIT, Professor Yu Bo, Dean of the School of Management, and Professor Zhu Bin, director of the EMBA education center, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was directed by Director Zhu Bin.
Vice-Chancellor of HIT, Professor Sun Heyi welcomed the new students on behalf of the University. He said, as one of the nine key universities of the country under the construction of world-top universities, HIT has developed into a multi-disciplinary, opened-up and deep-in-research key university, based on science and technology, combined with management, literature, economy and laws. The HIT EMBA insist on the elite mode of education，improve in educational philosophy and educational ideology. In order to maintain a higher level of education, the school has always been strict in entrance to the EMBA, and chooses the optimal teacher for EMBA, and so has already turned out more than 900 senior managers in both business and government. I believe that the current EMBA Daqing Class is sure to will cultivate more high-level management personnel with international perspective, strategic vision and advanced management concepts，thus playing an important role in promoting Daqing's economics towards a sound and rapid development.
Professor Yu Bo, the dean of the School of Management, made a wish that all students learn seriously and make a balance between the work and learning. At the same time, they should combine their own characteristics and contribute their talents, and strive towards the best EMBA class of HIT.
Professor Zhen Liang, executive vice president of the Graduate School of HIT introduced the course of HIT graduate education, hoped the students could uphold the HIT good tradition of " Being strict in qualifications for graduates; making every endeavor in educating students ", study hard, practice hard and make great achievements in all respects results.
Han Bing，member of Daqing Municipal Committee and director of Ministers of the Organization, made congratulations to the new students on behalf of Daqing Municipal Committee and Daqing Government. He said, the aim of the HIT EMBA Daqing class is to train out a group of high-level complex management personnel capable of carrying heavy responsibility in Daqing`s development, thus providing strong intellectual and human resource security for Daqing`s development.
Li Weifeng, Secretary of the Daqing Commission of Communist Youth League of China，expressed their heartfelt thanks to all the leaders and teachers. He said, they will surely cherish the learning opportunities, make a balance between good work and learning, value the relationship between teachers and students and the friendship of alumni, and strive to learn anything and everything and apply their knowledge into work, and make efforts to turn first-class management concepts into innovative working practices, returning the training of HIT with top academic achievements and work performance.
After the opening ceremony, the participants began the four-day human resource management courses. The Daqing class is the 20th EMBA class of HIT, and also the 2nd class opened in the local government of Heilongjiang Province.
