On the morning of September 23, 2011, HIT EMBA Grade2011, Class 3(Hegang class) opening ceremony was held in Hegang. Du Jiming, Secretary of Hegang of CPC, Zhang Yupu，deputy Secretary and Mayor of Hegang, Liu Hongyan, member of Hegang Municipal Committee and the Minister of the Ministry of Organization of Hegang, Professor Ma Guangfu, Associate Dean of School of Graduate of HIT, Professor Yu Bo, Dean of the School of Management of HIT, and Professor Zhu Bin, director of EMBA Education Center, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was directed by Director Zhu Bin.
At the opening ceremony of Hegang class, Professor Ma Guangfu, Associate Dean of School of Graduate of HIT, introduced the situation of HIT graduate education, encouraged students to cherish the opportunity to study and study hard, and try to successfully complete their studies within time. Tian Honghao, secretary of Gongnong District of Hegang spoke on behalf of the students. He thanked HIT to provide them a prestigious learning platform, and said that the class must cherish the rare opportunity and start the EMBA learning with an inquiring mind, good style and the greatest enthusiasm.
Zhang Yupu, Mayor of Hegang, congratulated the students of Hegang class and hoped that students will cherish the opportunity，take it seriously, and learn anything and everything.
Du Jiming, Secretary of Hegang of CPC, recalled the excitement participating the HIT EMBA degree awarding ceremony，and based on his own experience, pointed out to the students, that in the face of various challenges and competition, we must study, so that we can keep up with the time and fashion. He hoped all students could seize the opportunity, keep learning, and make use of what they had learned, thus making a greater contribution in the important period of development in Hegang.
Professor Yu Bo, Dean of the School of Management, welcomed the new students on behalf of the School of Management, and hopes that through study the participants could share their talents and makes a greater contribution to promoting a sound and rapid development of economy and society in Hegang. In the end, he wished the students a pleasant learning and a happy memory of life.
After the opening ceremony, the students began the three-day course "Management Communication" course. The Hegang class was the 21th HIT EMBA class, and also the 3rd opened in the local government in Heilongjiang Province. Since August 2002, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) has become the first national universities to organize the EMBA education projects. It has built up the influential HIT EMAB across the county with top teachers, top management, top service, top hardware, and top students. There are already nearly 900 senior executives from business and government joining the HIT EMBA, among which more than 500 have got their EMBA degree.
