On Dec. 19th, 2009, as the only representative in the northeast China, HIT MBA case contest team (also called HIT Shenzhou Team), for the first time participated in the 5th “China MBA Corporate Case Contest” and won the fifth. The team was composed of 08 HIT MBA students ZHANG Qiwei (the captain), ZHAO Yu, LIU Shi and GUO Yu with the leadership of Professor LI Dong. On the evening of Jan. 10th, Professor LI Dong and other team members shared their experience with 09 MBA students.
Presided by MBA Center Director QIAN Guoming, this lecture started with ZHANG Qiwei’s speech. He talked about his ideas from three perspectives. Firstly, the best way to choose team members is through competition. Then in the process of preparation, team members must have self-confidence and believe firmly that they will surely win. On the other hand, a detailed time schedule is also needed. Team members work together to brainstorm and make full use of resources inside or outside HIT. In addition, more communications will help improve the quality of group meetings and do good to group division. The key to winning the contest lies in harder preparations than the opponents. Finally ZHANG also told about his experience in between the contest.
After ZHANG Qiwei, Professor LI Dong, from the view of team instructor, gave an objective analysis on the strengths and weaknesses of HIT team members, as well as the performance of HIT and other teams. At last, LI gave full recognition and sincere congratulations to HIT team members, and hoped 09 MBA students would pay more attention to summarizing and achieve further improvements in future. He also extended his expectations for HIT team members to reach new heights in the next contest.
